Thread: Bought new cell module, not sure how to turn off power to alarm

Bought new cell module, not sure how to turn off power to alarm

I bought a new cell module so I can use with Alarm.com. I have the old alarm panel. I seem to have a backup battery connected at my electrical panel (see attached). I unplug the power source, but then it switches to battery mode. I have no idea how to work this thing. Looks like one cord goes to the outlet and another cord goes to what I'm guessing is my modem for cable/internet/etc. I have no idea which wire actually goes to the vivant panel.

Second, how do I update firmware? I have version 1.6. Do I need to get a special cable to connect to the panel and my laptop?

Firmware and instructions can be found Here: 2GIG Firmware

The Battery in as 2GIG panel is contained in the panel.

You also have malware on your forum. If you click your link through search listings it brings you to a spam site. I had the same issue on one of my forums, I forget how I fixed it. Think I had to search for the code through template editor. See here.

You can leave in the old module and then replace after the update is done, just be sure to power down and remove battery before replacing cell module
