    Time Resetting on Main Panel

    Hey,

I have had to reset my time every day for a week or so. The panel seems to keep reverting to Central time, even though I'm on Pacific time. Is there a time zone or date sync setting that I'm missing?

    Thanks!

That's Weird, have you tried a hard reboot? do you have a service provider?
May be a bad panel if its a standalone system, how old is it and where did you get it from?

There are two methods for setting clock time and date.

    1. Automatic via cellular module/backend service (e.g., alarm.com/Telular/Uplink)

    2. Manually via panel settings

If you have a cell module, this setting of clock/time overrides any manual setting or changes you enter locally.

Suggest you contact provider to have time/date properly set for your time zone as this can be the only cause for panel reverting from one time zone to another.

If you didn't have a cell module , or have POTS service:

You manually set the time/date, it would reset back to default, not few hours if it say lost power and rebooted (if for example, battery was bad).

Bought the main panel off ebay. I hard reset and flashed the v12 firmware when I got it. It does have an old cell module in it. I wonder if the cell module is doing it? Hadn't thought of that. I only left it in to see if I could get it activated with one of the service providers anyway...

The cell module is useless to you (unless it is unregistered)

    Check module status: http://suretycam.com/cellular-module-check

If its a vivint panel, don't even waste your time checking it.

That is the cause of the time/date issue. Remove it, and manually set time/date
