What Can I do with a Door Bell?

What Can I do with the 2 Gig door Bell? should I have purchased a Z wave one instead. I was hoping to turn on a light, or fire a relay, maybe take a picture? I don't see any settings for it at all I cant even change the Chime? How is this any better than the door bell already on my wall, if all it does is make an annunciation .

You can change chimes... you should also be able to use it as a zwave trigger depending on the programmed zone type

Setting up an email or text message when someone rings your door bell is great, you can also add a appliance module plug a lamp into it and when someone rings your doorbell have the light come on

Both ways make your system add value so if a bad guy is checking out your placed you are aware,
And if needed add a camera and you can get emailed the video of who just rang your door bell

These are all things that are easily done with simple rules and notifications

You must have this particular zone enabled for Zone Activity Monitoring. Otherwise ADC doesn't get a signal every time it is pressed. Your panel will chime, but in order to get the more complicated actions through ADC, you need to have that setting enabled on that zone. Took me awhile to figure that out the first time.
