About Old Eagle Eye
If you'll indulge me, here's the short version:

Way back before I knew which side was up, my dad, a West Point man and career soldier for thirty years, asked if I wanted to attend the Academy, but foolish me, I opted for a three year hitch in the Regular Army and found myself assigned to AFN-Europe, world’s largest radio station, first as a sound engineer and network producer, later as a disc jockey, entertaining US military and their families in Western Europe. Back in the States after a degree in film and broadcasting from SMU, I began a twenty-year career in marketing and advertising, selling TV and radio time, consulting with media presidents in thirteen states and at one point working with Col. Tom Parker promoting Elvis, Ricky Nelson, and Neil Diamond. About the time Elvis died, I started up and ran my own ad agency for twelve years doing radio, TV, and print advertising for local and regional businesses in the Tampa Bay, Florida market.

In the late eighties, curious about a boxy-looking contraption called a ‘personal computer,’ I walked into a temp agency and asked what it would take to learn to work it. "Sit down here and do this tutorial," said the lady handing me a thin, square-shaped thing she called a ‘floppy.’ That pretty much hooked me on the spot, and without knowing it my second career was underway highlighted by a couple of long runs, first as systems administrator for a prominent personal injury attorney on the 39th floor of the tallest building in Tampa, then later as an IT contractor for Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation. This crazy, happenstance, second career lasted seventeen years, culminating with independent consulting to law firms and various other businesses in twelve counties in and around Tampa Bay.

Reaping the rewards of early real estate investing, my wife and I are now securely retired and content to live the country life in a small village nestled on a hilltop in the Cumberland Valley, located in south central Pennsylvania. The good Lord has placed us near grandchildren and dear friends, and we are pursuing our interests to our heart's content volunteering in the community. If you find yourself still reading at this point, I'll end by saying, thanks for your perseverance and God bless you!
