Is this device a repeater as well? I need to get a repeater as I have a 2gigDW10 in my gun safe to send me notifications when it's opened. Today I got an alert on the panel stating loss of supervision on it. The only change that's been made is I placed a barska biometic safe on top of the gun safe and I've read that adding metal around it can affect the signal. Which of these would work the best? It's in my master bedroom closet which is on other side of the house from he panel from front right corner (panel) to back left corner (sensor). I've replaced the batteries and it's not helped so guessing I need a repeater.

This is what I'm questioning. GE Lighting Control Appliance Module, Z-Wave, Plug-In, Works with Amazon Alexa https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013V58HU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_F5eyybMTZBW5W

Also, I actually bought this Aaron repeater about an hour ago on Amazon. Aeon Labs DSD37-ZWUS Repeater, DSD37-ZWUS, by Aeotec, Cert ID: ZC08-13010004 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K7QZUZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_8afyybWTKYC2N

Will this work as good as the ge module if it's a repeater? Planned on plugging this in to an outlet that's in the master bedroom that's between the gun safe and the panel. I have other sensors in the bedroom that work fine so figured that's the best place for the repeater. I'm open to suggestions as well, I'm coming to the experts for help. Thanks in advance.

If you want to extend the range of your 345MHZ Wireless Alarm Devices like the DW10 you describe you can get this Resolution Wireless Repeater (http://resolutionproducts.com/knowledgebase/what-repeater-should-i-use-with-a-2gig-system/)

To clarify,

All Z-wave devices function as repeaters to create a mesh network. The DW10, however, is not a Z-wave device, it's a 2GIG 345mhz RF device. You need a 345mhz RF repeater like locknalarm linked to achieve this, not a Z-wave repater.

Just also remember only powered Z-Wave Devices act as repeaters so Light Switches,Outlets etc... A battery Powered Lock would not act as a Zwave repeater
